Malika Tirolien // Caulder Nash GEMINICRAB

HighSoul, R&B, hip hop, jazz

Grammy-nominated vocalist, songwriter, and producer Malika Tirolien (Bokanté, Jacob Collier, Snarky Puppy) and Montréal-based, award-winning keyboardist and producer Caulder Nash (Jonathan Roy, Fredy V & the Foundation) unite as GeminiCrab, a groundbreaking duo redefining soul music through their self-coined genre: HighSoul — a mesmerizing fusion of R&B, soul, jazz, hip-hop, and electronic textures.

Born from a creative residency at Montréal’s PHI Centre, GeminiCrab’s debut album Gen Y Lens (released November 2024) is an immersive exploration of millennial life. It fuses analog warmth with digital innovation, featuring lush harmonies, binaural production, and deeply personal storytelling — a sound that has earned the duo over 2.3 million YouTube views and more than 300,000 Spotify streams in their first year famgroup.ca.

Their performances have been hailed as electrifying and genre-defying, leading to tours across Europe and the UK (The Great Escape in Brighton, London’s Jazz Café, and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival) before returning home to the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, where they were honored as Artist of the Year in 2025.

Featured by Dork Magazine as “redefining what soul music can be,” GeminiCrab continue to channel what Tirolien calls “a striving for higher ground and connection” — the essence of HighSoul.

In summer 2026, the duo will embark on a major Pan-Canadian tour, appearing at leading international jazz festivals and venues in Ottawa, Montréal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Saskatchewan, and London (ON).
